FAQ’s - Frequently Asked Questions
What is Players Challenge Fantasy Football?
Players Challenge Fantasy Football is a salary-cap style game where you are the Owner, General Manager (GM) and Head Coach of your very own fantasy football team/franchise.
After signing up you'll select players for your superstar fantasy team every week and compete against others across the country for terrific prizes. Earn points based on your players' performance and overall stats. Did your star player go down with an injury? Don't despair, you have the ability to choose a different player before gameday.
Why should I register?
When you register with Players Challenge you are joining a community of people from around the world who not only enjoy playing fantasy football, but also enjoy the camaraderie and competition that comes through these games through other online participants, family members, friends, office workers, etc.
Can I have more than one team?
Of course. In fact, playing 2, 3 or even 4 teams is a fun and exciting way to try out different strategies.
How can I invite other friends to play?
Go to the homepage and click Invite-a-Friend. From that page you can enter the e-mail addresses of the friends you'd like to compete with, and send them an invitation e-mail.
How can I change my team name?
Unfortunately you cannot. That is why we ask you to take time to consider your team name when registering. We apologize for any inconvenience. In addition, team names deemed inappropriate will be subject to removal from the game.
When will I see this past week's results?
Stats and standings will be updated every day, when NFL games were played the previous day. If you do not see your player results, rest assured that they will be posted.
I love the dual offensive formations concept. If I choose one am I stuck with it for the rest of the season?
Absolutely Not. You can change your formation any time before the weekly lineup deadline.
How can I change players after I have already set my lineup?
Simply click Set Lineup again, select a new formation (if you want) then make your player selections. You can change your lineup as many times as you want before the lineup deadline, which is fifteen (15) minutes prior to the kickoff of the first game each week, after which your roster selection will be locked. Unlike many other fantasy services we do not charge extra for player changes.
What if there is a Thursday game?
Thursday games are considered the start of the new week. The opening game of the 2005 season and Thanksgiving are usually the only Thursday games. Be diligent as you must set your lineup one hour before kickoff of the Thursday games and that lineup will be locked into the following Sunday and Monday night games.
How does the scoring system work?
Please see the Rules or Scoring sections.
Does my team roll over from week to week if I fail to set a lineup each week?
No. As stated in the rules, you must submit a new lineup each week even if you planned on sticking with the same players and still remained under the salary cap. Teams will not carry over week to week. Hint: go ahead and set your lineup as early as possible. You’ll be able to change your formation and/or lineup anytime between then and the weekly deadline. In case you forget or something comes up you will have something to show for during game week instead of a blank lineup.
If a player does not appear in the selections, how can I submit him?
You can't. The players displayed are the only players available. However, from time to time, we may add players to the selection list based on that football player’s status and playing time.
Do I have to select 9 players and 1 defense/special team (10 total)?
Yes. Your roster is not complete until all positions are filled.
Other fantasy sites may have hidden costs and fees. What about you guys?
No. With Players Challenge all you pay is one low entry fee. That’s it. Since we don’t use a draft or waiver system we are able to offer you the most bang for your buck. And since you choose any player you want subject to the salary cap rules we did away with trades, which can sometimes cost $5 or more each with many other fantasy games.
Can I be notified by email of updates on the game and reminders to set my lineup?
