The Boxscore Bandit: Week 3
by Greg Bebezas
September 14, 2006

Up to this point, running backs and quarterbacks have taken center stage as the week’s top fantasy positions. But as Week 3 unfolded, it was clearly the wide receivers’ time to shine.
For the first time in this young season, Owners feasted on the scoring assault that receivers provided. A total of 16 pass catchers either topped 100 yards or scored more than once, and that doesn’t even include Laveranues Coles, who had 10 receptions.
Nine games were decided by one possession or less and went down to the wire, but as many owners are finding out, the heavy lumber is needed at every fantasy position to compete in what is fast becoming a very competitive 2006 season.
Don’t have time to scour the box scores? No need to worry, the Bandit is here every week to break down all of the games for Owners - Fantasy style. Check out the latest quick hits on the Studs, Bench Plays, Sleepers, and Injuries from the week that was.

Injuries: Dillon suffered an arm injury that is likely to nag him in the upcoming weeks.

Fantasy Stud: QB-Brett Favre (GB) enjoyed another big game. The ageless wonder threw for a league-leading 340 yds and 3 TDs.

The Boxscore Bandit: Week 2
by Greg Bebezas
September 17, 2006

Quarterbacks aired it out in Week 2 en route to lighting up scoreboards and giving fantasy owners big-time points. A total of eight passers had 300-yard games, including QB-Peyton Manning who threw for a cool 400.
Receivers also posted big points, but just seven players, including QB-Mike Vick and backup RB-Michael Turner, topped 100 yards rushing. The RBBC trend can certainly be attributed to that, but overall poor offensive line play across the league is also the culprit. Hotly contested overtime games took center stage during a weekend that also saw many lopsided affairs. But if one thing’s for sure, the 2006 season is off to a flying start.
Don’t have time to scour the box scores? No need to worry, the Bandit is here every week to break down all of the games for Owners - fantasy style. Check out the latest quick hits on the Studs, Bench Plays, Sleepers, and Injuries from the week that was.

The Boxscore Bandit: Week 1
by Greg Bebezas
September 10, 2006

Let the weekly box score grind begin. Although Week One was devoid of the eye-popping numbers that Owners are accustomed to seeing, there was still enough scoring to go around to whet one's appetite.
Opening weekend provided a glimpse into how the league’s many running-back-by-committees are going to shake out. And after seeing four quarters of football, it's pretty clear that those who are invested in Denver, New England, New Orleans, Atlanta, and the NY Giants, look like they’ll have a piece of the league's strongest RBBC teams.
Other highlights to start the season were the manner in which a handful of veteran QBs got roughed up, and several highly-touted #2 TEs outperformed their draft values to gain immediate value. Big performances from unlikely players will also have Owners racing to the waiver wire to stake their claims, but who will be left with Week One Wonders and who will find that early season gem to take them over the top? Stay tuned.
Don’t have time to scour the box scores? No need to worry, the Bandit is here every week to break down all of the games for you - Fantasy style. Check out the latest quick hits on the Fantasy Studs, Bench Plays, Sleepers, and Injuries from the week that was.

Fantasy Stud: RB-Tiki Barber (NYG) is a primed to again be a yardage machine for Owners. He totaled 171 yds and grabbed 5 recepts.

Bench Play: WR-Joey Galloway (TB) was blanked in what should be a major warning sign for his Owners.
Sleeper: TE-Daniel Wilcox (BAL) made a name for himself with 3 recepts, 52 yds, and 1 TD. His numbers showed QB-Steve McNair’s tendency to look for his TEs often.

Fantasy Stud: TE-Tony Gonzalez (KC) had a monster game in the defeat. He wound up with 10 recepts, 81 yds, and 1 TD.

The Boxscore Bandit: Week 11
by Greg Bebezas, editor
Nov 20, 2005

Week 11 weeded out the pretenders from the contenders, which included both NFL teams and Fantasy Owners alike. Major Fantasy points lit up league scoreboards everywhere as Owners needed above-average points to grab wins.
Strong play from running backs again carried many Fantasy squads, but it was the quarterbacks that led the way. Several passers enjoyed big games and wide receivers and Owners benefited from the aerial frenzy. The Colts and Bengals took the cake as they combined for 700 yards passing and scored the second most first half points in league history.
Don’t have time to scour the box scores? No need to worry, the Bandit is here every week to break down all of the games for Owners- Fantasy style. Check out the latest quick hits on the Studs, Bench Plays, Sleepers, and Injuries from the week that was.
